All About PBN Publications
Mrs Norma Weir and the late Mrs Phyl Webb, both family historians, began researching their own family histories in 1986. In 1988 PBN Publications was formed when Norma and Phyl began transcribing and publishing archival material for the benefit of other genealogists who were unable perhaps to get to Sussex to carry out research.
Militia Lists, Poll Books and early census returns (some pre-1841) were some of the first to be completed and made available either in book form or microfiche (more recently CD-Rom). Today, PBN Publications offers one of the widest selections of Sussex material for those interested in family, social, military and political history. Our list of publications is a tribute to two ladies, two computers and a lot of enthusiasm.
In November 2004 Norma & Phyl retired and PBN Publications was purchased by another enthusiastic family historian Ian Harvey. Ian is also a member of Family Roots Family History Society (Eastbourne & District) & a member of Hillingdon Family History Society.
