East Sussex Quarter Sessions 1810-1854
The East Sussex Quarter Sessions is an index of criminal cases recorded on the Quarter Sessions rolls for East Sussex between 1810 and 1854. The area covered includes the whole of pre-1974 East Sussex, including the Sessions records for Rye, Brighton, Hove, and the "mid-Sussex" corridor northwards towards Burgess Hill, Haywards Heath and East Grinstead. The records do not include the borough of Hastings whose records were not available at the time the material was transcribed.
The name of each criminal is given, their age, occupation, place of residence, year of the crime, the reference number of the Quarter Session roll and the names of the victims.
Over 11,000 individual names are included. Fully indexed by criminal and by victim.
